When I used to see people flaunting the site of Garadia Mahadev Temple on Instagram Reels, I was filled with wonder as to which place this is, looks so beautiful, so enchanting, and when I read the caption, there was no limit to my surprise that this site is not anywhere else but in a famous city of in my state Rajasthan which is known for studies – Kota.
Then what, a desire arose in my mind to visit this place. I had decided in my mind that I want to go there, so my wish was fulfilled on December 26, 2023, it was that wonderful day when I stepped into Garadiya Mahadev Temple along with my siblings. Being situated on the banks of the Chambal River, Garadiya Mahadev is a popular site dedicated to Lord Shiva. The calm and serene environment here attracts many travelers.
The path to reach here is also really exciting. There is less crowd on the road, so you can drive your vehicle without any hassle. I reached here with my brother by scooter and my sisters by car. Despite wearing a jacket and covering my head with a stole, I was feeling windy, but I was having a lot of fun as I had only one desire in my mind – to spend time at Garadia Mahadev. The 3 km path is kachha and bumpy so you need to be careful whether you are going on a two-wheeler or a four-wheeler.
There’s a ticket counter one and a half kilometers before Garadiya Mahadev Temple, where you must obtain a permit to take your vehicle (two-wheeler or four-wheeler) to the temple. You can reach the temple on foot too. Choose whatever suits you. We chose to go on foot so that we could enjoy the path and reach the temple.
