In the first week of June, I went on a trip that turned out to be my second-favorite trip ever! The highlight of this trip was that I didn’t just explore; I also learned new things—such as playing the piano, mandala art, sketching, candle-making, journaling art, and so on. I found immense joy in all of this—joy that I simply cannot put into words!
I also tried out a really great restaurant.
The weather was humid that day, and I had no plan to go out, but as the day stretched, the weather started to feel like stepping out! So my friends and I planned to go out to dine at a restaurant that was away from the hue and cry of the city.
It took half an hour to reach that restaurant- The Tamil Bhawan. I had heard of this restaurant before, but experienced it for the first time that day.

This restaurant was approximately 20 minutes away from the homestay where I was staying. We booked a cab and went there. As soon as we left the city, I glanced through the window and saw that there were dense trees on both sides of the road, which was quite pleasing to the mind.
Soon, we reached the restaurant – the ambience was quite impressive; there was soft lighting around the trees. The atmosphere was really pleasant—no noise or commotion! Everything was simple yet expressive.
As soon as I entered, my eyes widened with surprise. As the name suggests, everything was Tamilian – the art, the wall decor, the music, etc. The seating arrangement was amazing and so comfy.

We then started with a welcome drink – Virgin Mojito

As soon as I took a sip — I said amazing as I felt a cool chill in my body. In this mojito, lemon, mint, sugar, and soda were all in equal proportions. The taste was just perfect.
After that, we started with the starter Masala Soya Chaap. Masala Soya Chaap was simply outstanding and perfectly marinated. It had an amazing taste with a distinct smokiness. The spices coating every bite offered a deeply satisfying sensation.

Then we tried another ones, it was a platter of vegetarian starters, including Dahi ke kebab, Paneer Kurkure, Paneer Tikka, and Veg Seekh Kebab. Dahi ke kebab was crispy outside and unbelievably smooth inside; every bite was just melting in my mouth. It was really a surprise for me. Every bite of the Paneer Kurkure was delightfully crunchy, and I enjoyed it with green chutney. Paneer Tikka and Veg Seekh Kabab were so perfect, crispy outside and soft inside; every bite was packed with rich flavour, and the creamy softness of Paneer was melting in the mouth.

The main course was simple. We ordered Amritsari Chur-Chur Naan Thaali. This thaali included stuffed chur-chur naan, Dal Makhni, Paneer butter masala, Raita, and Makhan. I would say Stuffed chur-chur naan was truly amazing. The dal makhani and Paneer butter masala had the perfect level of spices — neither too spicy nor bland.
My friend who had already been here before and enjoyed a Rabri Kulfi (Ice-cream) here, asked the waiter for this, but at that time, it wasn’t available there, so we glanced at the menu and tried Coconut Halwa. I swear I would love to eat it whenever I get a chance to visit this restaurant again. The tenderness of coconut was perfectly blended with the sweetness of sugar, pure desi ghee, and some nuts. It was like I was having Rabri (a sweet made up of milk).

My other friends enjoyed Hakka Noodles and Margherita Pizza. I took a small bite of each one, and to be honest Hakka Noodles were up to the mark, but I didn’t like the pizza. So if you are trying pizza here, I would say don’t, as you won’t like it. And after that they enjoyed Brownie with Ice cream as a sweet treat.

How to Reach Kota
Kota is well-connected to major cities in India. You can get there either by Air, Bus or Train according to your choice.
By Air: If you’re coming from another city (far away from Kota) or country then you should choose to travel by air. By this, you can save time and enjoy a lot of attractions in this city. Kota has no airport so you have to come to Jaipur by air and then head to Kota either by train, bus, or taxi
By Train: Kota is well connected via train. I love train journeys, so I chose this option as it is convenient and easy-going. I booked my train tickets for the Jaipur Mumbai Superfast train, which takes only three and a half hours to reach Kota.
By Bus: You can come here by Bus as the city is accessible by bus throughout the country. Book your tickets from the renowned travel agency so that you may have not any trouble during your journey.
By Car: If you like road trips then a car is the best option. You can stop anywhere and take some rest meanwhile your journey.

Where to Stay in Kota
